Linear Glucose
The chemical make up of Glucose is C6H12O6. This glucose, more commonly know as sugar, can exist in two forms. These two forms are linear and cyclic. In reality, the cyclic form is more common form of the molecule. Glucose turns cyclic when the glucose reacts with water.
Up until very recently, Glucose has been almost exclusively depicted in the linear form. But in truth, the majority of glucose is an aqueous sugar solution is the cyclic form. These kinds of solutions only contain about 0.02% of the linear form.
